Auckland’s Viaduct is about to get another mouth-watering addition to its eateries. Tomorrow The Lula Inn will open its doors to the public for the first time to tantalize your taste buds.
The Lula Inn brings together elements of the South Pacific within an urban environment. It offers a lively drinking, dining an entertainment experience all set within a garden oasis.
Nestled in the heart of Princes Wharf The Lula Inn boasts beautiful harbour views. With a Pacific themed interior it brings a sense of “relaxed, colonial charm” to the historic Launchman’s building.
Menu
Lula’s promises to serve customers a menu of ‘playful Kiwi cuisine’, with a focus on fresh and local ingredients. Lula’s will be serving up brunch, lunch and dinner.
Some key elements of the menu will include, Takapoto beef steak, Leigh fish Kokoda, to the Kiwi classic lamb shoulder and the adventurous Southern fried snapper roll.
Drinks
One of the most exciting parts of the new opening is Lula Inn’s extensive list of cocktails. With a selection of gins from around the world. With an extensive list of cocktails from tropical concoctions to classic favourites with a twist there’s something for everyone.
There are some innovative ingredients used in these cocktails from , Amaretto, Earl grey tea, pink peppercorn, vanilla and fresh fruits.
Entertainment
Evenings at the Inn will see the space transformed into an entertainment hub. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights it’ll be the place to be if you’re down for pulling some shapes on the dance floor. ‘Live at Lula’s’ will provide a space for some of New Zealand’s most talented funk and soul artists to perform.
The general manager Kevin Fraser described The Lula Inn as “an everyday escape for Aucklanders”, a place to explore and experience from the moment you walk in the door.”
He promises there’s no other place like it.

The Lula Inn will open tomorrow at 149 Quay St, Auckland Central. It will be open daily from 10am til late during the week and 9am til late on the weekends.
