Four Super Easy And Affordable Ways To Revamp Your Home
I’m constantly on the lookout for new pieces and ways I can revamp my home. Re-organising and re-decorating your home can be very therapeutic and stops the space from getting boring. However, most of us don’t have a magical pool of money at the ready to blow on new pieces for our homes.
So finding ways to revamp your home while keeping it relatively affordable is always a big plus. Here’s a few tips on how to make your house look chic without emptying your bank account.
1. Rose gold makes everything look fancy
I am such a sucker for the rose gold home decor trend it just has the ability to make everything look pretty. Rose gold vases, candles, lamps, chairs, tables just give me all of it. Basically every shop around is selling something rose gold at the moment so it’s super easy to add some of this into your home. Things that have rose gold or gold accents add a bit of luxury and class to a room even if it is just a candle holder from Kmart.
2. Add some plants
Plants and flowers are a great way to refresh your home and totally affordable. Just head on down to your local Mitre 10 or bring in some flowers from your own garden and voila! You’ll have a pretty centre piece for your dining room table or shelves.
3. Check out vintage and op-shops
Checking out your local op-shops can help you unearth some cheap gems. I’ve found shelves, draws and chairs at various second hand stores which have made brilliant pieces for my house. Often all they need is a fresh coat of paint and they’ll be as good as new. It’s also a way to ensure you have pieces in your home that not everyone else has.
4. Fairylights
If you want something a little bit sparkly and pretty add some fairy lights to your bedroom. Kmart has some for only $9 otherwise places like Typo also have a variety of different lengths and colours for very low prices.
