Super Easy Ways To Have A More Productive Day
Being productive is something we all struggle with. In my mind I can plan out the perfect productive day; getting up early, working out before I go to University or work, getting all my work done early, and getting a good nights rest. In reality, this kind of productive day only happens to me once in a blue moon.
We’d all like to be more productive in aspects of our lives; whether that’s socially, at work, at school, or while working on a project. But it just isn’t that easy. But today you are in luck, because we have found some super easy and simple tips that will help you have a more productive day.
Get up extra early
Although the idea of early mornings is somewhat repellent, I find on days where I get up at a reasonable hour I always end up getting way more done. Being up with the sun sets you up for a productive day and gives you more hours to get everything done. It also means you won’t be constantly late and you can avoid morning traffic.
The easiest way I’ve found to ensure you wake up on time is by setting multiple alarms. If you find mornings hard setting multiple alarms that you can’t ignore will help. It’s also helpful to put your phone on the other side of the room so you have to physically get out of bed to turn it off.
Plan it out
Write a list or make a plan of things you need to get done a day in advance. A written list can help put things into perspective and make your goals easier to achieve. Â Plus it saves you extra time in the morning.
Exercise in the morning
Getting your blood flowing in the morning can help you feel more accomplished. The release of endorphin’s will make you feel better for the rest of the day. Plus it’s a good way to make you feel refreshed and more awake.
Visualization
Work on visualizing yourself achieving your goals. By keeping this in mind you are more likely to be productive in working towards your goals. Imagine how good it will feel once you have achieved your daily tasks and goals.
Take breaks
One thing I learned from high school was that it’s hard to concentrate on one thing for over an hour. So to take a short break in your day is important. If you have work you want to get done reward yourself after every hour of work with a 15 minute break. This gives your brain a chance to reset and you will come back feeling fresher. It also makes the task look less daunting.
Turn off you notifications
Mute your Facebook chats and turn off notifications for any other social media apps and emails. Notifications are always tempting and can lead to a lot of time wasted down a variety of internet rabbit holes. Avoid the urge and make it easier on yourself by not receiving notifications altogether while you work.
