I’d name my autobiography: Diving Head First

To me success means: To reach the end of your life having enjoyed every moment along the way and looking back regretting nothing.

My most treasured possession: My family

Best advice I’ve been given was: I was once told that you need to have a huge amount of faith in yourself and that you are capable of achieving something before you have any actual proof. Before the shows, reviews and galleries, you are already that person.

Biggest ‘pinch me’ moment: Receiving the artist residency at Parlour Projects and having the support to be able to bring an ambitious concept to life.

I made my first dollar: Busking in Tauranga, my hometown

In five years’ time, I see myself: Creating work I can’t even imagine making now. I’m constantly trying to push myself forward and surprise myself. Having continued to build a strong foundation for a career and starting to exhibit internationally. It’s my intention to build up slowly and create work that endures.

Life motto: If you can’t do something, do it anyway and you’ll learn along the way!

Favourite book: The Great Gatsby (no contest). It’s the most beautifully crafted writing.

Signature scent: Chanel Number 5 – a total classic.

Movie with the best ending: Inception

The women who inspire me: The generations of strong women in my family and my friends too, these people inspire me to be ambitious and to persevere.

I believe we can make a change to gender diversity: I think we need to improve the under-representation of women artists in dealer galleries

The biggest change I would like to see in the world in 2018: More real life connections between people. Living simply and with less.

I believe pay equity is important: Of course, this goes without saying.
