Breville, a global leader in innovative kitchen appliances, has launched another appliance that promises to make life in the kitchen easier. The Fast Slow GO is an all-in-one six-litre cooker, ideal for large families and leaves plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day, that can do practically everything. With so many capabilities, this cooker could come across as intimidating. However, Breville Category Manager Nick Exikanas says that the Fast Slow GO is the latest kitchen appliance must-have and that anyone from an everyday cook to a budding master chef can use this cooker. And what sets this cooker apart is its yoghurt making function that allows one to whip up delicious creations using just two ingredients in four easy-to-follow steps. Made from stainless steel construction which is dishwasher safe, the Fast Slow GO is not only user-friendly but also perfect for a quick clean-up.

World’s Rarest Coffees
Nespresso is practically synonymous with coffee and with good reason as they have continued to be pioneers and the best reference for the highest-quality portioned coffee. It’s been a decade since Nespresso introduced us to the power and potential of reviving rare and forgotten coffee through their limited edition Suluja ti SOUTH SUDAN. From there, they birthed Reviving Origins as part of their AAA Sustainability program, which provides training, resources, and support for coffee farmers and communities in regions under threat. Initially, the Program produced seasonal coffees, with a long-term goal of enabling the production of exquisite coffees as permanent blends for you to enjoy. On that note, Nespresso welcomes two new rare coffees to their Reviving Origins range from Congo and Cuba.
The organic KAHAWA ya CONGO and CAFECITO de CUBA are no ordinary coffees. Due to the economic hardship and environmental disasters Cuba and Congo have faced over the years, these beans were on the brink of extinction. CAFECITO de CUBA has a notably intense roasted character, packed with smoky notes of wood and tobacco leaves. KAHAWA ya CONGO is still a scarce treasure to behold. But each year, they’ll bring you more of this smooth organic coffee with mild fruity notes and alluring sweet cereal and nutty aromas.
Food – Beyond Consumption
Food is a delightful topic through and through – one that knows no ends and bounds. You could approach it from an educational or entertaining point of view. Over time, conversations around issues, food initiatives and activism to offer solutions have taken off too.
Isa Pearl, a New Zealand writer with a PhD in social science, joins in the conversation with her new book, Food, Freedom, Community. The book focuses on alternative food networks, food sovereignty, and social economics, through case studies of real people and communities in both urban and rural New Zealand, as well as through a global lens.
With a passion for food and an increasing awareness of problems with the global corporate food system, Isa pens this book full of inspiring stories and helpful insights to provide a compass that can help one navigate towards a more equitable and sustainable future.
