The Chocolate & Coffee Show
Those who enjoy indulgent treats will be sure to get to this year’s Chocolate and Coffee Show. Now in its sixth year, the show will feature over 80 exhibitors, showcasing artisan chocolatiers, culinary wizards and producers of indulgent goodies. Now also hosting wine and cheese exhibitors, visitors can expect to be treated to live demonstrations, masterclasses and a plethora of delicious treats.

A Doll’s House
The iconic stage show gets a modern NZ makeover this September. Adapted from the original play by Henrik Ibsen, New Zealand writer, Emily Perkins, has given the story a New Zealand twist as it follows Nora Helmer, a woman whose past returns to haunt her as she is preparing for Christmas celebrations. Featuring Westside’s Sophie Hambleton, this production promises to move the audience with a tale of power and gender dynamics.
Showing in Dunedin’s Regent Theatre, September 6-7; Nelson’s Theatre Royal, September 10; and Hamilton’s Clarence St Theatre, September 14.
New Zealand Symphony Orchestra’s Transfiguration
Get ready for an evening of rich, lush sounds from three of the famous romantic composers; Strauss, Wagner and Rachmaninov. Conducted by Asher Fisch and featuring a performance by French-Canadian pianist, Louis Lortie, this performance is one not to be missed for lovers of classical music.

Impact in Three
With a new permanent line up of Ashley Brown (cello), Amalia Hall (violin), and Somi Kim (piano), NZTrio will be gracing Auckland and Blenheim this October with their modern take on classical music. Part of their Tectonic series, which looks at immagration and the colonisation of Aotearoa, NZ Trio will be performing their Impact shows at the Auckland Art Gallery on October 13 and Blenheim’s ASB Theatre on October 15.
