Flushed Glow
As the days get hotter, we’re looking forward to the next phase of glowy makeup and natural beauty. This year, the northern hemisphere sported pared back simplicity and a lacquerous glow atop the skin. Matte powders took a dive while luminous liquids, gels and cream formulas were tinted with cute and fresh shades.
Australian Celebrity Hair and Makeup Artist, Mia Hawkswell, gives us a quick rundown of what’s hot and how to glow the right way.
What kind of makeup trends do you foresee becoming popularised this spring and summer?
I feel we will see a lot of ‘bare’ looking skin, with enhanced freckles (for the adventurous) . Healthy glow with peachy flushed cheeks & eye… very tonal. I feel this summer we will see a lot more colour being worn from classic liner to more graphic dramatic lines/swirls & dots.
What are your top tips to achieve the bare skin look?
Beautiful bare hydrated skin starts with skin care… I absolutely love the black rose moisturiser all over, allow it to absorb and then apply the black rose oil by pressing it into the high points of the face. I layer the glow with a radiant primer.
