Going Places
From local experiences to making memories last forever, here are all the new‑season inspo you need to travel well.
Local Heroes
When Airbnb began in 2008, sceptics questioned how staying in someone else’s home would work. Now, 10 years later, Airbnb is a hit with tourists, locals and celebrities alike. In 2016, due to the success of the home stay business, the company started offering experiences whereby locals share their knowledge – from wine tasting to horse riding, airplane flying and everything in between. Airbnb is now offering visitors to New Zealand an even more locally curated escapade, with Airbnb Experiences in Queenstown. Travellers can revel in community offerings, from making your own jewellery with a full-time contemporary jeweller who has shown at Milan Fashion Week 2017, to learning to fly a plane with a qualified flight instructor. These are once-in-a-lifetime experiences with local experts and, continuing with Airbnb’s ethos, they also support the community.

Small but Powerful
As you travel the globe or head away for a weekend, you have the task of packing your toilet bag – a task that leads itself to so many issues; i.e. over-sized products and leakage and spillage as you transfer liquids to a smaller bottle. To save you from these potential disasters, and ultimately ensure you aren’t stuck using less than ideal hotel shampoo, here are our top picks for travel minis that keep your face, hair and body fresh and ready for whatever adventures your new destination presents.

Make a memory last forever
While there is no denying the days of getting printed copies of your pictures are slowly dying, there is still something special about having a physical copy of the photo to put up on your wall or on the fridge. Arguably, however, the power of easily-transferable, unlimited photos is something we are not only accustomed to but need in a digital world of selfies and foodgrams. That is why we need something that provides us the best of both worlds. The Fujifilm Instax SHARE SP-3 printer is just that; it allows you to select shots from your phone and print them via a Wi-Fi connection instantly, should you wish. So, whether you are travelling and want to share a snap with the new friends you meet or simply want to have a physical copy of the picture to show off in your home.
