The Bulgari Necklace Zendaya Wore Is Insane
Zendaya has quickly made herself a style icon, absolutely slaying it with each new look she brings to the red carpet. Her Dune 2 looks have been a tour-de-force, turning heads, creating buzz, and making everyone else in the star studded cast into background characters on her globe sized runway. Fashion legend Iris Apfel once said “Never be afraid to stop traffic” and Zendaya must have taken it to heart. Iris also said “Understated jewellery is not for me. It’s too itsy-bitsy. My husband is lucky, as I’ve never had a yen for real jewels.” which I’m not sure will fly with Bulgari, who counts Zendaya as one of their brand ambassadors. She has been sporting their accessories throughout the tour. Her most intense look by far was her see-through suit of armour which she wore to the premier in London. It harkens back to scifi of the 60s and 70s, appropriate considering Dune. Bulgari stepped up their game for this one with a necklace fit for royalty. It’s a one of a kind High Jewellery necklace in platinum with 1 oval sapphire (28, 11 ct), 1 round brilliant-cut diamond (1,05 ct), 22 round sapphires (13,72 ct), 381 fancy shape step-cut diamonds (12,79 ct), round brilliant-cut and pavé-set diamonds (34,62 ct). Although even this many diamonds had trouble standing out on her outfit. Note to self, even a zillion dollar necklace won’t stand out on my chrome cocktail outfit.
